Our Main Goal is

To Promote Radio communications in all its aspects in the Mid North

Including Short Wave Listeners, CB Users and Amateur Users

As well as helping anyone who has an interest in our hobby

Whether it is in advice about how to get an Amateur Licence

Or what antenna to use on different transceivers

We are also planning Lessons for anyone in the near further who might wish to get their Amateur Licence or Upgrade there Licence

 

 

Introduction

The Club provides a meeting place for people who share an interest in Community Radio, Short Wave Listening, CB Radio, Amateur Radio and Electronics. We encourage and help those interested in obtaining an Amateur Radio Operator's Licence.

We hope to offer a WIA Exam Service accredited assessors to provide a service for examinations in Port Pirie in the near future.

We actively promote amateur radio through a "radio net" held  on the FIRST Wednesday night of the month at  8:00pm on air on VK5RMN 146. 700          

This is now a combind meeting with the

Trax Fm Mid North Radio and Electronics Group and the Whyalla Amateur Radio Club

The Club also holds a monthly meeting on the 2nd Thursday and encourages attendance of those interested in the hobby. Our goal is to promote radio communications in all of its aspects in the Mid North of South Australia
